# Hosted connector

> Neural Draft in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code and Cursor: one URL, sign in, no API key.

The hosted connector is a remote MCP server at:

```
https://neuraldraft.io/mcp
```

Every app uses the same URL. People sign in with Google or an emailed code
(OAuth); new accounts get a free workspace. There is no API key to paste, so
it is the right way for **business owners and agency clients** to work on their
site, and for developers it adds the hosting tools (`deploy_site`,
`rollback_site`, `connect_custom_domain`…) that the API-key package doesn't
have.

## Add it

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Claude">
    Claude web or desktop: **Customize → Connectors** (desktop: Settings →
    Connectors) → **+ → Add custom connector**. Name it *Neural Draft*, paste
    the URL, click **Add**, then **Connect** and sign in. It syncs to the Claude
    phone apps.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="ChatGPT">
    **Settings → Apps → Add (+) → Add custom MCP server**. Name *Neural Draft*,
    paste the URL, keep authentication on OAuth, tick the confirmation and
    **Create**, then **Continue to Neural Draft** and sign in. If you don't see
    the option, turn on Developer mode under Settings → Apps → Advanced
    settings (Business/Enterprise admins may need to allow custom apps).
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Claude Code">
    ```bash theme={null}
    claude mcp add --transport http neuraldraft https://neuraldraft.io/mcp
    ```

    Then run `/mcp`, pick `neuraldraft` → **Authenticate**.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Codex">
    ```bash theme={null}
    codex mcp add neuraldraft --url https://neuraldraft.io/mcp
    codex mcp login neuraldraft
    ```

    Or in `~/.codex/config.toml`:

    ```toml theme={null}
    [mcp_servers.neuraldraft]
    url = "https://neuraldraft.io/mcp"
    scopes = ["mcp"]
    tool_timeout_sec = 120
    ```
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Cursor / VS Code">
    `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

    ```json theme={null}
    { "mcpServers": { "neuraldraft": { "url": "https://neuraldraft.io/mcp" } } }
    ```

    VS Code:

    ```bash theme={null}
    code --add-mcp '{"name":"neuraldraft","type":"http","url":"https://neuraldraft.io/mcp"}'
    ```
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## What it can do

| Area | Tools (examples) |
| - | - |
| Start | `get_started` (setup checklist, ideas), `get_workspace_overview`, `get_plan`, `list_workspaces` |
| Website | `get_site_overview`, `get_design_kit`, `deploy_site`, `publish_site_page`, `revert_site_page`, `rollback_site`, `list_deploys`, `add_site_image`, `update_site_basics`, `translate_site`, `set_site_mode`, `setup_blog` |
| Editing | `list_site_texts`, `update_site_text` (change texts and pictures without a redeploy) |
| Domain | `connect_custom_domain` (with `check: true` to verify) |
| Embeds | `get_embed_snippet` (booking, form, newsletter, blog feed, shop, product for another website) |
| Blog | `generate_blog_post`, `create_blog_post`, `translate_blog_post`, `publish_blog_post`, `set_blog_languages`, `share_blog_post_to_facebook` |
| Customers | `create_bookable_service`, `set_availability`, `list_bookings`, `create_form`, `list_form_submissions`, `list_subscribers`, `export_submissions` |
| Shop | products, orders and shop settings (when the shop is turned on) |
| Socials and ads | `connect_social_account`, `schedule_post`, `list_queue`, `generate_ads`, `capture_app` |
| Team | `invite_teammate` |

Some clients show grouped tools (`site_info`, `edit_site`, `write_blog`…)
with an `action` argument; they map one-to-one to the tools above.

Anything public (publishing a page, deploying, changing live text) asks for a
confirmation first unless the person turned that off.

We don't offer AI image or video creation. We craft finished static ads and
reels for your brand, from the brand kit, your own photos and screenshots.

## Several workspaces

When you connect, you tick the workspaces this connection may use. Every tool
takes a `workspace_id`; with several connected and none named, the assistant
asks which one. Membership is checked on every call, so removing someone
from a workspace cuts their access at once. See [Agencies](/guides/agencies).

## Hosted connector or developer MCP?

| | Hosted connector | `@neuraldraft/mcp` |
| - | - | - |
| Auth | Sign-in (OAuth) | API key per workspace |
| Runs | On our server (remote HTTP) | Locally via `npx` (stdio) |
| Best for | Building and hosting the site, client edits, domains, blog, bookings, socials | Wiring a codebase: brand context, content keys, components, pages, galleries |
| Deploy a site | Yes (`deploy_site`) | No |
| Several clients | Tick workspaces at sign-in | `NEURALDRAFT_API_KEYS` |

Developers often add both to Claude Code or Codex.
